Contact Us Form
Anything about the app: bugs, questions, account trouble, or a product listing that looks wrong.
Email us at [email protected].
We read every message and aim to reply within two business days. Telling us your device model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when something went wrong will usually save a round trip.
Your account
How do I reset my password?
On the login screen, tap Forgot password and enter your email. You will get a reset link. If it does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder. If you originally signed up with Apple or Google, you do not have a password with us at all, so use the same button you signed up with.
I signed up with Apple and can’t find my email address
If you chose Hide My Email when signing in with Apple, your account is tied to a private relay address ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com. That address works normally and forwards to your real inbox. You can review or turn off the relay in iOS Settings, under your name, then Sign In and Security, then Sign in with Apple.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings, tap Delete Account, and confirm twice.
This is immediate and permanent. It erases your profile, your owned and wishlisted accessories, your course progress, your floor plans, your rooms and design plans, your uploaded room photos and generated images, and your window covering projects. There is no recovery and no waiting period, and you do not need to email us to do it.
Signing out is not the same thing. It leaves your data in place for your next login.
Can I use the app without an account?
Not currently. Your owned accessories, wishlist, floor plans, and designs all live against an account so they follow you across devices.
Apple Home import
The import screen says HomeKit isn’t available
Apple Home import needs the full app from the App Store. It does not work in a simulator, and it will not work if you are running the app through Expo Go during testing.
It found nothing, or is missing accessories
Check that:
- You have granted My Smart Living access when iOS asked for Home data. You can review this in iOS Settings, under Privacy and Security, then HomeKit.
- You are signed in to iCloud with the same Apple Account that owns the home.
- The accessories are actually paired in Apple’s Home app. My Smart Living reads what Home knows about, and cannot see devices that only exist in a manufacturer’s own app.
An accessory matched to the wrong product
The importer suggests catalog matches and you confirm them. If a suggestion is wrong, just do not confirm it. Nothing is saved unless you accept it. If you have already accepted one, you can unmark it as owned on the product page.
Your HomeKit setup itself is never uploaded to us. Only the matches you confirm are saved.
AI room designer
How many designs can I make?
Each account can generate two room designs and twenty design plans per day. The limit resets at midnight UTC. These features call paid AI services, and the caps keep the app sustainable.
The design failed or timed out
Image generation can take up to a minute and occasionally fails when the provider is busy. Try again. A failed attempt still counts against your daily limit, so if you hit the cap after a run of failures, email us and we will sort it out.
Where do my room photos go?
They are uploaded to private storage that only your account can read, then sent to outside AI providers for analysis and image generation. Both the original and the generated image are kept until you delete your account.
The Privacy Policy covers this in full. Please read the “Room photos and AI designs” section before uploading anything sensitive.
Can I delete just one design?
Not yet. Right now, deleting your account is the only way to remove uploaded photos. We are working on a way to delete a single design.
The suggested products don’t suit my room
AI output is a starting point, not advice. Treat the generated image as illustrative and check any product against your own room, budget, and existing setup before buying.
Catalog, deals, and courses
A product’s specs or price are wrong
Catalog entries are researched editorial content and can go out of date, especially prices. Always confirm with the retailer or manufacturer before buying.
If you spot something wrong, email us the product name and what is incorrect. Corrections are welcome and we act on them.
Are you affiliated with these brands?
No. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the brands listed. Product names and images are used to identify the products themselves.
Some deal links are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy after following one. That costs you nothing and does not influence which products we list or how we describe them.
A product image is missing
Product images are served from manufacturer and retailer websites. When one of those changes, an image can stop loading until we catch it. Let us know and we will fix the entry.
Floor plans
Are the measurements accurate?
No. Treat them as rough estimates. Wall lengths and room areas are calculated from what you draw, not from a real measurement of your home. Do not use them for purchases, construction, or renovation without verifying with a tape measure or laser measure.
My edits did not save
The app tells you when a save fails. If you see a save error, check your connection and try again. If it keeps happening, email us with the name of the floor plan.

Content posted by another user
If you see a review, question, or answer that is offensive, abusive, spam, or otherwise objectionable, email [email protected] with the product name and roughly what was posted.
We review every report and remove content that breaches our terms, normally within 24 hours. Accounts that repeatedly post abusive content are suspended.
A security or privacy issue
Email [email protected] with “Security” in the subject line. Please give us a reasonable chance to fix an issue before disclosing it publicly. We do not currently run a paid bug bounty, but we will credit you if you would like.
A bug
Email us with:
- What you were doing and what happened instead
- Your device model and iOS version
- A screenshot if the problem is visible
Requirements
My Smart Living runs on iPhone with iOS 15.1 or later. You need an internet connection, because the catalog, courses, and your saved content all load from our servers.
Apple Home import requires a device with HomeKit accessories set up in Apple’s Home app.
Privacy and terms
Both are also readable inside the app, under Settings, then About.
